“We will not relent until justice is served to the American people,” says NumbersUSA manifesto in part. The Roy Beck-led group has in recent years increased its voice on its quest to ensure the number of people seeking to enter the United States through fair or unfair means is reduced or even stopped completely.
The Arlington, Virginia and Washington D.C headquartered group has been in existence for close to 10 years now. Although there seems to be not much of achievement on the firm’s quest, policymakers especially in the House of Congress have begun to show some kind of concern.
In 2015, Roy Beck said his firm used an excess of $510,000 to challenge some of the bills that were before the Congress. While showing the reasons for the formation of the group, the founder tabled several reasons. For instance, NumbersUSA Action argues that if the numbers of those seeking to live in the United States does not go down or end completely, then American citizens stand a chance of losing the quality of life meant for them.
Besides, NumbersUSA goes on to say, that individual freedoms will be curtailed, including the freedom for foreign-born Americans. These people will also lose wages, and restrictions to an individual’s access to nature due to overpopulation.
For as long time, NumbersUSA has posed as a group of individuals who come together, contribute and support one another in view of avoiding the oppression that may come their way from those against what they fight for. Nonetheless, NumbersUSA says it does not oppose anyone with highly extraordinary qualities and skills relocating to the United States.
According to NumbersUSA, like any other country, America is also in need of people with exceptional skills. However, the Roy Beck-led NGO will keep fighting for the Green Card Lottery program that brings in people from Third World countries oblivious of whether they have skills or not.
