Randal Nardone is one of the top executives of the firm Fortress Investment Group. Nardone has a unique background as he spent a portion of his career as a lawyer. During his career, Randal has held several high-ranking managerial positions at investment firms. There are a couple of firms that he helped start up as well as being a top manager at a firm that was very well established. Since Nardone has had a very successful career as a high-ranking finance executive, he has also amassed a great amount of wealth. He was listed as one of the riches billionaires according to the financial publication Forbes.
Today, Randal Nardone is the acting co chief executive officer, co-founder, and principal of the firm. He helped start up Fortress Investment Group in 1998 after working for a couple of other financial services firms. Nardone provides some of the daily management as well as providing the overall business strategy for the firm. Nardone is also involved in helping with client acquisition and closing deals. As well as being one of the high-ranking executives of the firm, Nardone is also a member of the firm’s management committee.
Prior to starting up Fortress Investment Group, Randal Nardone served as a managing director at UBS. While serving at this position, Nardone helped the firm acquire new clients. He was also responsible for providing key leadership and management of the firm as well. Randal started up another investment firm known as Blackrock Financial Management. This firm was co-founded by him and he served as a principal. This experience gave Nardone an opportunity to start up an investment firm and run it. Before he got involved in the finance industry, Randal worked at a top New York City law firm known as Thatcher, Proffitt & Wood.
Before beginning his career, Randal Nardone completed both a bachelor’s degree and a law degree. When he began attending college, Randal went to the University of Connecticut where he would major a degree in Biology and English. He would complete a degree in both fields and then go on to law school. Nardone attended Boston University and completed his JD degree within three years.
