SEC And Online Trading Academy Believe That Financial Education Lacks Equality
Education is a typical buzzword used in the financial industry. Usually, other words such as training and learning are also commonly used within the industry. Those buzz words have been used a lot recently, thanks to everyone jumping on the Gamestop stock buying frenzy.
The question is when social media meets Wallstreet, what happens to those caught with the necessary education to invest appropriately? Even educational institutes such as the Online Trading Academy are asking the same question. They were concerned enough about the problem to reach out to a third party for assistance.
Dr. Jeffery H. Harris, Goldman Sachs Chair in Finance and Former Chief Economist of the SEC, who has a great passion for financial education becoming a life skill, answered Online Trading Academy’s call for help. Harris attended virtual classes, sat in on online sessions, and reviewed all of their educational materials. Harris believes that the courses taught at the Online Trading Academy (OTA) are more than compatible with those taught at the college level. OTA’s curriculum does provide future traders with valuable learning opportunities. Students who follow the practices taught in the materials will develop the confidence needed within the financial industry.
OTA recently introduced a new platform called Clik. Clik is an inclusive platform including education, analysis and trading. Harris states he has never seen a platform like Clik before. He is excited about how OTA is combining technology with learning. The platform is unique. Students can focus on their trading plan while applying the lessons taught at OTA while being disciplined in risk management. Harris believes that the platform is creating disciplined traders, which is necessary for success.
