Chad Price started Mako Medical in 2015 with a vision to disrupt and transform the pharmaceutical and laboratory markets into a more efficient, accessible, and service-driven industry. Mako Medical has provided much-needed developments on laboratory covid testing and has worked hard to facilitate services to needy families by fostering in-network relationships with countless insurance companies and expanding services to rural areas that lack geographic or financial access to these medical options. They are also expanding covid testing for collegiate athletes and staff, to ensure safe games and events.
Mako Medical has been recognized for achievements and innovation not only on the front lines of the pandemic and for the financial support for the families they serve, but also for the families they employ. Chad Price’s prioritization of our veterans as a vital part of his work force has been nationally recognized. He was personally the recipient of the Employer Support Freedom Award from the United States Secretary of Defense, an award that annually honors an employer who has given outstanding support to active members of the National Guard and Reserve. Price’s military programs work with veterans leaving the service to provide meaningful employment through paid training and other forms of support, ensuring a solid and stable transition into productive civilian life.
Chad Price and Mako Medical are also using their success to power community change in other ways and currently support over 300 charities. Triangle Business Journal named Chad their 2018 Employer of the Year for his leadership and innovation.
